With little less than a month left before the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Manila, Gilas Pilipinas players are maximizing all the experiences they can acquire in their boot camp in several countries in Europe. Head coach Tab Baldwin is relatively satisfied with how the team progresses every training.
In a report of Philippine Daily Inquirer, Baldwin seems to be satisfied, so far, with their trainings midway of their boot camp in Greece. The 14-man lineup of the Philippine basketball team is now gearing up for the upcoming tournament on July 5-10 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The team is undergoing two sessions a day and only has five days left before travelling to Islamabad where they will face Turkey for a warm-up game.
On his personal Twitter account, head coach Baldwin posted his appreciation on his players’ efforts and remarkable practice sessions. “Gilas boys impressive in practice. Effort & attention on point. Still much to do. Turkey on 21st will be more lessons for us,” his post said.
Here are the mighty Filipino fighter who will be battling it out against the much-experienced and bigger opponents in July:
